Create Crows Nest Place — a street for people.

To the Hon. Minister for Transport, New South Wales,

I am writing to ask you to actively support the creation of Crows Nest Place on Willoughby Road in Crows Nest.

We ask the NSW Government to work with North Sydney Council and the community to:

• Make Willoughby Road pedestrian only (between Clarke Street and Albany Street).
• Reroute bus services and remove cars.
• Create Crows Nest Place — a vibrant open, public space with trees, seating, outdoor dining and room for community events, making the most of the new Metro.

Crows Nest deserves a town centre designed for people — not dominated by traffic.

Crows Nest desperately needs more open space. By 2036, there will be nearly 30,000 people living in Crows Nest - St Leonard's. Almost 90% of residents in the North Sydney LGA will live in apartments, relying on shared open spaces, parks and facilities for recreation, health and wellbeing.

Willoughby Road is the high street for Wollstonecraft, St Leonards and Crows Nest.

We urge the Minister to support the creation of Crows Nest Place.
